Sickness is something God does not andhave never wished upon us, but for some reasons we fall sick and when we do we look tohis word for comfort, succor and encouragement. Read these verses in faith and believe in your heart that the lord will heal you or whomever is ill around you.
Here are five different encouraging verses for sickness from the King James Version (KJV), New English Version (NEV), Good News Bible (GNB), and the Book of Mormon:
King James Version (KJV):
- Exodus 15:26 – “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God… I will put none of these diseases upon thee… for I am the Lord that healeth thee.”
- Jeremiah 17:14 – “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.”
- Psalm 147:3 – “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
- James 5:14-15 – “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him… And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.”
- 3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
The book of exodus tell us that the lord would not let s fall ill if we but listen to him. So we need to heed the word of God to have total victory over sickness.
New English Version (NEV):
- Exodus 15:26 – “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God… I will not bring on you any of the diseases… for I am the Lord, who heals you.”
- Jeremiah 17:14 – “Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
- Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
- James 5:14-15 – “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them… And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.”
- 3 John 1:2 – “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
The verse from the book of jeremaih is a prayer and suspplication to God for healing. Pray to him and he will help you. He heals our diseases and has done miracles for the sick. Let us pray to God for a miracle and be encouraged tody.
Good News Bible (GNB):
- Exodus 15:26 – “If you will obey me completely… I will not punish you with any of the diseases… I am the Lord, the one who heals you.”
- Jeremiah 17:14 – “Lord, heal me and I will be completely well; rescue me and I will be perfectly safe. You are the one I praise!”
- Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.”
- James 5:14-15 – “Are any among you sick? They should send for the church elders, who will pray for them… This prayer made in faith will heal the sick; the Lord will restore them to health.”
- 3 John 1:2 – “My dear friend, I pray that everything may go well with you and that you may be in good health—as I know you are well in spirit.”
The book of pslms encourages and lifts our spirit by reminding us of how God will always be there to heal all our diseases. Both emotional and physical diseases.
Book of Mormon:
- Alma 15:10 – “And Alma said: If thou believest in the redemption of Christ thou canst be healed.”
- 3 Nephi 17:7 – “Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed… Bring them hither and I will heal them.”
- Alma 7:11 – “And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind… that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people.”
- Mosiah 4:9 – “Believe in God; believe that he is… believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth.”
- Ether 12:27 – “If men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness… my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me.”
