Mothers are special unto God for they are a very important pillar that supports the home. The family is an institution made by God but even when a woman is alone without a husband God does not forsake a mother.
All these verses serve as strong words of encouragement but I’ll pick one each from every 5 that resonates most with me to explain abit further for more understanding.
Encouraging Bible Verses for Mothers (KJV – King James Version)
- Proverbs 31:28 – “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.”
- Isaiah 66:13 – “As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.”
- Psalm 127:3 – “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
- 2 Timothy 1:5 – “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice…”
- Deuteronomy 6:6-7 – “And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children…”
Psalm 127 verse 3 which says children are an Heritage of the Lord. Hold on to these words as a mother if you’re experiencing any difficulties in raising your kids or providing for them. We all know what the words heritage means and Hod will not take you or your kids for granted. As he has shown how important kids are to him, go to him in prayers for support go through his words to understand the path of guidance you need to follow and he will help you through your challenging moment as a mother.

- Luke 1:45 – “Happy is she who believed that the Lord would fulfil the promises he made to her!”
- Matthew 15:28 – “So Jesus answered her, ‘You are a woman of great faith! What you want will be done for you.’ And at that very moment her daughter was healed.”
These next 5 verses are centered around words of instructions on how a mother should raise her kids and also further encourage mothers to have faith that God will be there for them. Meditate on these words and understand that in whatever circumstance you find yourself as a mum, husband or no husband, support system or absent one, you have God and that is all you really need. Sometimes you may even have people you depend on to see you through motherhood and they disappointed you, hold on to God, he will never do that. With him you and your kids will be just fine.

From proverbs 31 verse 25, you are clothed with dignity as a mother. Never forget that. The only validation you need as a child of God is the one that he gives. If you’re feeling undignified and inadequate as a mother, rest assured that Hod has clothed you with the type Of dignity no one can strip you of. Hold on that dignity with both hands and believe he will see you through.
